Excellence in project management
When I used to interact a lot with Ramesh Sir, ( My first Boss!) I used to get many thoughts from him.
One day, he asked me " Rohit! What do you think is excellence is project management ?"
I said " Its cutting the cost, and delivering in time any project"
He asked again "What about quality ?"
I then said " Excellence in Project management is NO COMPROMISE with the quality, Delivering in time, and cutting the cost! "
We both agreed on this.
Later after a few months, I realized, that its not only the three things that were essential! There were many things involved.
"Its actually excellence in everything you do!, WE DO! , its increasing the level of working of the vendors! its improving the style of working of the contractors! all in all, its constant improvement in everything you do! Its not benchmarking the best! Its becoming the best so that people can benchmark you !
So here lies the conclusion, that excellence is not a thing which is REQUIRED!!
INSTEAD, IT HAS TO BE INCULCATED !
