Farewell party
Today, we had a farewell party giving farewell to Kenji, Orlando and Robert from Prof de Pablo's group. Prof de Pablo arranged champagne, wines, and lots of food at his house. His wife met everyone cheerfully. The house is so nice and beautiful. Because they have small kids, they have all painting etc pasted on the walls in the kids section. Ya, its divided in two sections.
I could see lots of paintings especially modern art in his house. His wife said they were painted by his brother. I also saw lots of musical instruments in his house. Guitar, piano etc. I played piano...Boss was looking....I am not sure if he was appreciating or not ! but his wife appreciated much...
We had delicious food, we ate, enjoyed, and did all chit chat....Entire group could not come...We missed those who could not come...
In the end, all these three guys spoke about their experiences in Madison, about their experiences in the group, about Prof de Pablo and by the time all those finished, Prof de Pablo looked sentimental about their leaving...They video shooted the scences.
Prof de Pablo is consedered to be a tough professor, but tough professors also have feelings....I know, big professors live prosperous lives with their families. They are often tough on their students, they love their students when they are there....they miss them when they leave...in all cases, they wish them all luck in their lives. I am not sure if they keep in touch, they must be doing so....Then new students come and the group is refreshed...New students start from scratch...in 5 years they become experts ! The time when they are at their peaks, professors back on them. They trust them...they have their faith in them...they prove themselves worthy of them.
In return, they get all their love from the professors ! They get their platforms, they get recommendations, and all in all everything
This is a professor's typical life...
