My Name is Khan review

Shahrukh is a patient of Autism, a disease which makes a person non-responsive to some of the human emotions. People with such disease may be very intelligent - in this case, this person has a special knack of repairing machines. His mother teaches him that there are only two types of people in the world - good and bad and that with good people only good things happen. When he is an adult, his mother dies and he has to go to live with his younger brother who lives in US and owns a beauty product company. His brother urges him to work as a salesman for his company. In the process he meets Kajol and instantaneously falls in love with her. Kajol is a divorcee who has a very young school going kid. They get married however he has to separate from his brother.

Things take a sudden turn after 9/11 attacks after which Muslims are looked up as terrorists. Their son gets killed in a related attack by older school kids which makes Kajol believe that SRK is the reason behind it. She asks him to leave her. He asks her when he can come back to her. In her anger, she asks him to go meet president of US and tell him that his name is Khan and he is not a terrorist. He promises her the same and is set to leave when she is asleep. He travels in many parts of US chasing wherever the president is going. In the process he visits a village where he finds shelter for a few days, he undergoes several encounters with US police who misunderstand him as a terrorist. In a gathering for US president a team of cameraman and a reporter catch his attention and highlight him on national TV. He gains attention of several people in US while he goes to rescue the villagers who had given him shelter.

His brother, his wife, Kajol and many others come to follow him and all this makes more and more people catch his attention including the newly elected President Obama. In a mishap, a person attacks him and stabs him. He is in hospital for several days. Finally he appears at a conference where President Obama comes to say to him - I know you, Your name is Khan and you are not a terrorist.
